City to City 2021 Project Exhibited in Cali

On August 31st, Centro Cultural Colombo Americano in Cali, Colombia, launched the “Told-Hold” exhibition that would be open until December 7th. This collaborative project is the result of the City-to-City 2021 Initiative, led by the UNESCO Media Arts Network, involving artists selected from Unesco Creative Cities of Austin, United States, Karlsruhe, Germany, and York, UK. The exhibition has been curated locally by Colombian artist Margarita Ariza.

In the words of the curator: “Told-Hold aims to share our personal stories, foster trust, and support the experiences of others, transcending barriers such as language, geographic location, and culture. It stands as one of the most significant exhibitions in media arts, engaging with our context and remaining relevant in its potential to accompany and sustain us as a globalized society.”

This event marks the beginning of a series of impacting Media Arts events in the city, which will culminate with the Media Arts Cluster Annual Meeting in November.
