City to City 2021 winning project to be exhibited in Manchester
The multidisciplinary piece “Blur”, winner of the 2021 edition of the City to City initiative, will be exhibited at the MANTIS – Festival of Electroacoustic Music, on 28 and 29 October in Manchester.
“Blur” was developed by Braga artist Jorge Ramos in collaboration with South Korean artist Anna Kim and French artist Julien Gaillac, the result of a partnership between the UNESCO creative cities of Braga, Enghien-les-Bains and Gwangju.
City to City is a project commissioned by the cities of Austin (USA), Braga (Portugal), Calí (Colombia), Changsha (China), Dakar (Senegal), Enghien-les-Bains (France), Guadalajara (Mexico), Gwangju (South Korea), Karlsruhe (Germany), Kosice (Slovakia), Sapporo (Japan), Toronto (Canada), Viborg (Denmark), York (United Kingdom), members of the Media Arts Cluster of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, to signal their commitment to the importance of co-operation and support for art and creativity as an important force for sustainable development in these uncertain times.
