Le Pavillon explores how virtual and augmented reality technologies have revolutionized artistic creation and narrative exploration in the 21st century. This is Namur’s first exhibition entirely dedicated to the history of art and spatial and virtual storytelling, curated by Ana Brzezińska, an international expert in digital cultures and former curator of the Tribeca Festival in New York.

The exhibition begins with an analysis of the evolution of art and storytelling—cinema, theatre, and visual arts—under the influence of advanced technologies, and how they have transformed our perception of reality. The second part of the exhibition, presented in two chapters, highlights groundbreaking works in spatial, virtual, and augmented reality, created over the past decade by some of the most renowned artists in the field.

In an age dominated by connected technologies and artificial intelligence, artists are using these tools to offer subjective views of the world, imagine realities beyond our reach, or speculate on those beyond our imagination. Could these experiences deepen our understanding of the complexity of the world by revealing it in a new light?
