UNESCO Creative Cities Network of Media Arts Annual Meeting
We are pleased to announce MIRADAS CRUZADAS, the 2023 UNESCO Creative Cities Network of Media Arts Annual Meeting to be held in Cali, Colombia, from 1 to 3 November. The event aims to provide a yearly space to reflect on the network’s challenges, vision, and future activities.
After 4 years of continuing-based work, Cali UNESCO City of Media Arts on behalf of the Cali Mayor’s Office and our local partners, is ready to welcome the Media Arts Creative Cities representatives to enjoy 3 days of creative & cultural agenda.
Organized this year for the first time in Latin America, the annual meeting will be an opportunity for the member cities to share their respective experiences, current projects, main challenges, and pain points when it comes to engaging the community, policymakers, or delegations with the network activities and duties.
During these days it is in our best interest to share with the 15 delegations attending the meeting, a glimpse of Cali’s creative power through a series of activities, media art exhibitions, talks, networking sessions, flavors, dance, and music specially planned for this occasion.

The agenda is powered by Cali’s UCCN Focal Point, on behalf of the Economic Development Secretariat of the Cali Mayor’s Office with the support of Fundación Bibliotec, and in partnership with Universidad del Valle, Universidad Icesi, Universidad Javeriana, Cali Valle Bureau, Museo La Tertulia, Centro Cultural Colombo Americano, FICCALI – Cali International Film Festival, MASS, and Cacumen Creative Studio.
